Tonight’s mission: Grocery Shopping

Tuesday is the one day Matthew doesn’t work until close at the store, and since our fridge was nearly empty of all essentials, we set out to go shopping when I got home from work.

After an hour of stocking our cart (and the cute little basket on the motorized wheel chair that Matthew uses because of his bad leg) we headed home to unload our treasures. The prettiest part is the produce.

There’s nothing quite like a fully stocked fridge and pantry. There are so many possibilities, things just waiting to be sliced, diced, and roasted…it’s fantastic.

And Matthew was very excited to get some herb plants: thyme, rosemary, basil, mint, oregano, and parsley.

I’d like to blog about our food-and-beer-with-friends-and-the-creepy-BBC-documentary Sunday night, but I’m tired, so it will have to wait.
