The past few days mom has spent making hundreds of candy buttons for my wedding cake (which she is also making).

It’s going to be a four tier almond cake with raspberry filling and almond buttercream icing. My idea for the buttons is to place them along the top of each layer, sort of like this…

We also went to the florist this morning…you know, since the wedding is in two days and all.

It’s owned by some people Matthew has known for years and years (Ed and Dave at Colonial Florist) and who we just delivered flowers for on Valentine’s Day last week (13 hours of mean drivers and a near parking ticket downtown. woo!)

I picked out coral and magenta roses, green hydrangea, cala lilies, orange tiger lilies, and whatever else he feels like throwing in. I know whatever they choose, they’ll make it look great.
