As usual we had Thanksgiving dinner at Mark and Dar’s house. A smaller group than usual but still about 20 people showed up…and 16 pies. I ate a lot of pie.

For Thanksgiving morning we had a full house of family with Kenny, Stephanie, Erin, Gavin, Ray, Jess, Addison, Mom, Matthew and me.

We drank coffee, ate danish, made fun of some Broadway acts during the parade, then went on a “photo walk” around the neighborhood. Kenny, Ray and I got out our Canon DSLR’s and Kenny gave us some pointers on aperture, shutter speed, and let us borrow his fixed focus lens (nice!).

Erin wanted to catch lizards during her entire stay

The rest of the day was spent laying around doing nothing, as it should be.

P.S. Matthew and I decorated a little Christmas tree for his apartment 🙂

And enjoy this yummy hot tea toddy recipe:

1 1/2 oz gold rum
1 cup hot tea (we used Stash peach black)
1 pinch cinnamon
1/2 tsp honey

Just heat everything in a saucepan until it is steaming 🙂
